Minato Rocket, a Japan-based space transportation startup, has been selected as one of four companies participating in YOKOHAMA GO GLOBAL PROJECT 2026, a startup international expansion program organized by the City of Yokohama, Japan. Through this program, we will exhibit at SWITCH—the Singapore Week of Innovation & Technology—from October 27 to 29, 2026, in Singapore.

At SWITCH, we will introduce our small launch vehicle business powered by hybrid rocket technology. Our vision combines small rockets manufactured in Japan with offshore launches to enable safe, frequent access to space.

Our technology builds on university research that has achieved a Japanese domestic record in hybrid rocketry and completed 14 launch demonstrations. Minato Rocket’s role is to translate this research foundation into a commercial space transportation service. We will present our development approach, commercialization roadmap, and strategy for international expansion.

Hybrid rockets use solid fuel and a liquid oxidizer. We are developing this technology as the foundation for small launch vehicles designed to serve the satellite market, with safety and operational flexibility as key development priorities.

During the exhibition, we aim to engage with international investors, satellite operators, and potential business partners to better understand launch requirements and explore opportunities for collaboration. We also welcome discussions with companies in manufacturing and maritime industries whose capabilities could support rocket production and offshore launch operations.

By participating in SWITCH, Minato Rocket will strengthen international relationships and explore partnerships that can help bring Japanese hybrid rocket technology to the global space transportation market.
